Tesco has expanded its successful home insulation service and is now offering customers the opportunity to have renewable solar power systems fully fitted to their properties, to generate low cost hot water and free electricity that is kind to the environment.
The pioneering award winning partnership secured between Enact and Tesco in 2008 has led to the successful delivery of the Tesco Home Insulation Service across Great Britain, and consequently, a reduction in thousands of Tesco customer’s fuel bills. On a continuous search for new ways to help their customers save money and reduce their carbon footprint, Enact and Tesco are now promoting new ways to avoid rising energy bills, with the launch of Tesco Renewable Energy.
Together the Tesco Home Insulation Service and Tesco Renewable Energy are exclusively promoted under the umbrella, Tesco Home Efficiency, a service with scope to expand its product offering, as Enact utilises its 13 years of experience in the energy saving industry to provide full customer and works management for the service, and ensure Tesco customers enjoy the maximum benefits and service expected of a retailer of Tesco’s calibre.
Tesco Home Insulation Service
Together Enact and Tesco have worked to create what is believed to be the first and largest home insulation service of its kind in Great Britain.
The landmark scheme helps Tesco customers reduce their fuel bills whilst supporting their fight against climate change. The Home Insulation Service follows a number of green initiatives from Tesco aimed at helping customers help the environment while cutting down on household expenses.
For just £198, Tesco customers can have their loft or wall cavities insulated, cutting both their energy bills and their carbon footprint. The over 70s and people on benefits can receive the service for free.
The Tesco’s Home Insulation Service is transforming the energy efficiency industry and is working hard to deliver Tesco’s plan to insulate over 500,000 properties within three years.
The service is promoted in a number of ways, including online at www.tescohomeefficiency.com, in store through leaflet displays, and in dedicated customer mailings.
The Tesco Home Insulation Service uses Enact’s existing network of installers, which includes both national and local based companies, ensuring the smaller supplier will be able to profit from the new partnership, because of course every little (installer) helps!
Tesco Renewable Energy
Forming the second branch of Tesco’s energy efficiency services, Tesco Renewable Energy is giving householders the opportunity to harness free renewable energy from the sun to generate free hot water and electricity in the home all year round.
Utilising Enact’s experience and expertise, and the credentials of only approved Microgeneration Certification Standard (MCS) installers, Tesco are guiding their customers though greener power alternatives, guaranteeing savings on their energy bills and a reduced reliance on polluting fossil fuel energy resources.
Tesco Renewable Energy is one of the first nationwide promoted schemes managed by a retailer to enable customers to generate their own electricity and enjoy hot water powered by free solar energy. Tesco aims to ensure that what could be a confusing area for its customers, is turned into a simple process, supported by high quality products, at affordable prices and with a quality guarantee expected of Tesco’s usual commitment to great customer service.
With solar hot water systems starting at £3,499 and solar electricity systems starting at £7,999 there is an option to meet a range of budgets and lifestyles, assisted by monetary incentives, including available grant funding and the Government’s ‘Clean Energy Cash Back’ program which entitles customers to earn an income for the electricity that they produce.
The established partnership with Tesco is a significant achievement for Enact, and illustrative of the company’s expertise and determination in the UK’s fight against climate change.
