Chief Executive Officer
Adrian Wright - CEO (Enact Energy Holdings)
CEO of the Enact Group, Adrian Wright has been involved in the energy conservation industry for around 20 years and established Enact Energy in Cornwall in 1996 with a £5,000 bank loan. In the early years, Adrian provided home energy rating training services for hundreds of staff from local councils and housing associations in addition to providing general energy consultancy services to councils who were required to save energy under the Home Energy Conservation Act. Through these links with local councils, Adrian developed the Heat Project, a discounted home insulation program which has now grown into one of the UK’s most successful and largest local council energy conservation projects. Having successfully developed a partnership with Tesco in the UK, Adrian maintains a keen interest in UK operations but now spends the majority of his time abroad helping to develop new international operations such as those now successfully established in Australia
and New Zealand.
Enact Energy Holdings
Dimitrios Hatzis - Non-Executive Director
Dimitrios was born and educated in Athens, Greece. He holds a PhD from St John’s College Cambridge and an MBA from INSEAD. He has particular expertise in business growth and the challenges facing businesses with close ownership structure. In late 2007/early 2008 he delivered a transaction well in excess of £100million involving the refinancing and restructuring of the share capital of a major UK privately owned company. He has worked on both the private sector and the public sector sides on major PPP schemes and other projects and transactions. He currently works as a commercial advisor through his own company DX Management Ltd. His experience in consulting and advisory also includes a period with AT Kearney in London and London and Oxford Capital Markets, a specialist investment bank based in the City of London. He has been a founding director of Aleltho Energy, an investment business specialising in the renewable energy and waste sectors and he sits on the board of
Bioaxis Healthcare in Athens, Greece. He has also been on the board of a UK property and construction business, held a director level role at the UK Depatment of Health and was on the Executive Management Team of Amey PLC, a FTSE 250 company at the time.
Paul Daffern - Non-Executive Director
Paul has 30 years of experience in senior management positions in Europe and the US. His career includes Finance Director roles within logistics, shipping and renewable energy sectors. He was previously Finance Director of Infinis, the UK’s largest privately owned purely renewable energy company- brought in by Terra Firma (UK’s leading private equity group) to restructure and reorganise Infinis as preparation for sale or IPO. In the past he has also been appointed as Finance Director of PD Ports by Nikko Principal Securities to reorganise and restructure the company, as Finance Director of Luton Airport by Barclays Capital during a fundamental transformation of the business, and as Finance Director of UK Atomic Energy Authority to restructure and reorganise in advance of separation and sale of commercial activities.
Robert Wilson - Non-Executive Director
Robert is an FCCA with a strong operational and commercial background. He has a wide range of international experience within both the corporate and private equity sector. Industrial sectors include engineering, construction and house building, personal hygiene and business services. His key skills include business integration, enhancing enterprise value, managing acquisition and exit strategies, investor and financial relationships. Having held the position of Finance Director within a number of high profile companies, Rob developed his own business consultancy advising PLC and Private Equity Companies. He is currently a Director of Rental USA Ltd and DeFacto 1493 & 1494 holding companies. He previously worked with HSS Hire Service Group Limited, appointed as an MBI team member drafted in by 3i plc to rescue failing MBO of business from Davis Service Group plc.

Sonya Pennington - Legal and Projects Director (Enact Energy Holdings)
After working as a corporate lawyer at a top international law firm in both the UK and US offices Sonya re-located to Cornwall where she continued work as a corporate lawyer with Enact as a client. After assisting in setting up a successful niche corporate law firm in Cornwall she moved to become General Counsel at Enact, and head up the Tesco Home Insulation Service. As of August 2009 Sonya has been promoted to Legal and Projects Director.
Danny Morgan - Managing Director (Enact Energy Pty)
Danny Morgan, Managing Director of Australasia, studied at University to achieve one of the first degrees in the UK in Energy Studies. Formerly with Enact Energy as a Project Partnership Manager for the South East region of the UK, he successfully managed the Heat Project and renewable projects with local authorities. Danny then moved to EDF Energy focusing his skills and gaining valuable experience from within the energy retailer industry delivering carbon saving targets. His primary objective as Managing Director is expanding Enact Energy into Australia and New Zealand. The company has been highly successful in winning multi-million dollar contracts with energy retailers and local governments to meet their carbon saving targets and has posted 10% profits in the first 10 months.
Annie Doyle - Director of Finance (Enact Energy Pty)
Annie is a graduate from UTS Sydney in Accounting and Computing and is currently undertaking Law. She joins Enact with extensive experience across a number of financial platforms in diverse business mixes across the Asia Pacific region. With a widespread understanding of legal matters, contractual negotiations, feasibilities, long term business plan development and implementation, Annie is a fundamental member in the overall financial management of the Australasian enterprise. Her “green” leanings come from her endeavours in the wild such as mountain climbing and trekking.
Meet the Executive Team…
Jennie Butcher – Head of Operations
Jennie joined Enact Energy in early 2000 after spending 9 years working in communications within the Royal Air Force. Her wealth of experience over the last 9 years within the company and insulation industry has paved a natural progression to become Enact’s Head of Operations. She is currently responsible for the operational management of a number of energy efficiency projects and has overall responsibility for Enact’s call centre and installer department.
Holly Hipkins - Head of Finance
Holly Hipkins is a qualified Chartered Accountant, and member of ICAEW. She graduated with a degree in Maths and Philosophy, and then trained with a top ten accountancy firm in Southampton. After relocating to Cornwall in 2008, Holly practiced with a firm in Truro, before making the move to industry. She now heads up the finance department at head office, and has responsibility for the day to day running of all financial aspects of Enact.
Stephanie Rees - Marketing Manager
Stephanie Rees is a qualified marketer and member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Following graduating from Exeter University with a degree in Ancient History, Stephanie’s marketing career spans account management of FTSE 250 clients and global industrial brands. Since joining Enact in 2007, Stephanie has been influential in the development of Enact managed projects and is heavily involved in the marketing of Enact’s retail partners efficiency schemes, as well as Enact’s in-house projects.
John Moores - UK Projects & Claims Manager
John Moores graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Plymouth University in 2000. He worked in both the retail and manufacturing sector before moving to Enact in 2005, in which time John has developed invaluable knowledge and experience whilst progressing through the company. John´s in depth understanding of the industry and the company has assisted the development of Enact´s project management and funding streams. He is currently responsible for project managing the M&S scheme and also liaising with a number of national utility companies regarding CERT funding.
